Is Failing

One slow drain is usually a clog. When several things act up at once, or the problem keeps coming back, look at the line outside the house.

Dirt Bros repairs sewer lines by excavating. We open the ground, work on the pipe and close the trench. Here is how a job goes.

Talk it through. You tell us what the drains are doing and where the line runs.

Find the failure. We dig down to the line and expose the damaged section.

Repair or replace. A crack, a broken joint or one collapsed section can be repaired. If the pipe is failing in several places, we replace the run.

Close it up. We backfill the trench.

An old clay line that has cracked or collapsed in more than one place, or roots that keep coming back, usually point to a new run. Once the pipe is exposed we explain what we see and talk through both options.

Some jobs are not a failed pipe but a new connection for a home that already stands. Dirt Bros handles new sewer connections as well as existing lines.

Connecting to the City of Boise sewer follows city code and goes through a city permit. The city’s sewer tap and plug permit page explains how to apply. Rules differ by city and sewer district, so tell us where the property is and we will talk through what the connection needs.

Roots work into joints, and old clay pipe cracks or collapses. We excavate the damaged section and repair it, or replace the run if the pipe is failing in several places.

Dirt Bros gave me an initial estimate to get started and get the inspector out to the house. After the inspection, Dirt Bros gave me an estimate to replace the drain field at another location on the property and got right to work. They were easy to work with and even stayed late a couple nights to get the job done as quickly as possible which my family appreciated. They got the job done a day earlier than estimated.
